1-1A
#5 Stratford (5-1) (1-0) 154-83
#7 Canadian (5-1) (1-0) 262-124
#98 Gruver (2-4) (1-0) 91-198
#25 Sunray (5-1) (0-1) 206-67
#121 Stinnett West Texas (2-4) (0-1) 75-186
#108 Booker (1-5) (0-1) 110-280
Key Game: #5 Stratford vs. #7 Canadian
Notes: This is the matchup of last years state champions. Stratford won the game last year 17-7 and is 2-1 vs. Canadian since 2006. Stratford is coming off the big win last week over Sunray which is the other contender in this district.
25-1A
#18 Chilton (4-1) (1-0) 174-109
#132 Meridian (2-4) (1-0) 102-164
#3 Goldthwaite (6-0) (0-0) 177-30
#76 Bosqueville (3-3) (0-1) 198-143
#124 Valley Mills (1-5) (0-1) 72-149
Key Game: #3 Goldthwaite vs. #18 Chilton
Notes: The key game this week should be for the district title. Bosqueville should be the 3rd team in this district.
6-2A
#9 Cisco (6-0) (1-0) 210-60
#106 Eastland (3-3) (1-0) 257-184
#125 Merkel (2-4) (1-0) 92-147
#28 Clyde (4-2) (0-1) 124-123
#140 Hawley (2-4) (0-1) 116-163
#181 Anson (1-5) (0-1) 54-120
Key Game: #9 Cisco vs. #28 Clyde
Notes: The key game this week should be for the district title even though Clyde surprisingly lost to Merkel last week.
9-3A
#3 Argyle (6-0) (1-0) 195-81
#116 Gainesville (5-1) (1-0) 141-99
#13 Celina (4-2) (1-0) 192-109
#7 Prosper (5-1) (0-1) 182-39
#89 Sanger (3-3) (0-1) 104-134
#115 Whitesboro (2-4) (0-1) 69-123
Key Game: #7 Prosper vs. #13 Celina
Notes: Argyle got the big win over Prosper last week. Those 2 along with Celina should all be in the fight for the district championship and this district reps in the playoffs.
16-3A
#14 Pittsburg (5-1) (1-0) 238-96
#24 New Boston (4-1) (1-0) 202-64
#103 Texarkana Liberty-Eylau (3-3) (1-0) 179-151
#75 Mount Vernon (5-1) (0-1) 197-112
#33 Texarkana Pleasant Grove (4-2) (0-1) 221-119
#157 Atlanta (2-4) (0-1) 130-192
Key Game: #14 Pittsburgh vs. #24 New Boston
Notes: How cool is this district? It sounds like a major league baseball division with Pittsburgh, Boston and Atlanta in it. The big surprise last week was Texarkana Liberty-Eylau's very convincing win over Texarkana Pleasant Grove. With Groves loss it leaves the district championship door wide open to the winner of this weeks key game.
24-3A
#8 Rockdale (7-0) (3-0) 188-56
#42 Caldwell (5-1) (3-0) 224-83
#10 Navasota (5-1) (1-1) 167-62
#38 Cameron Yoe (4-2) (1-1) 190-152
#98 Madisonville (3-4) (1-2) 125-154
#126 Taylor (3-3) (0-2) 187-154
#145 Bryan Rudder (1-5) (0-3) 94-181
Key Game: #8 Rockdale vs. #10 Navasota
Notes: Navasota lost in muddy conditions last werk to Caldwell to shake things up. A win by Rockdale this week will probably give them the district championship unless Caldwell continues to impress. Throw in Cameron Yoe who lost to Rockdall and beat Taylor and you have 4 pretty good teams fighting it out.
25-3A
#4 Sealy (6-0) (1-0) 266-108
#22 La Grange (6-0) (1-0) 197-60
#41 Smithville (5-1) (1-0) 232-134
#6 Giddings (5-1) (0-1) 200-80
#23 Bellville (4-2) (0-1) 147-106
#87 Columbus (4-2) (0-1) 175-146
Key Games: #6 Giddings vs. #22 Bellville and #23 La Grange vs. #41 Smithville
Notes: La Grange got the big win over Bellville while Sealy took down Giddings last week. Like I said last week, keep an eye on this district each week. They will keep things exciting.
5-4A
#1 Denton Guyer (6-0) (3-0) 285-99
#10 Lake Dallas (6-0) (3-0) 233-159
#17 Denton Ryan (5-1) (2-1) 326-155
#189 Little Elm (2-4) (2-1) 104-209
#86 Wichita Falls Rider (1-5) (1-2) 79-207
#186 Wichita Falls (1-5) (1-2) 146-199
#128 The Colony (1-5) (0-3) 83-168
#225 Denton (1-5) (0-3) 111-283
Key Game: #1 Denton Guyer vs. #10 Lake Dallas
Notes: Last week Lake Dallas surprised everyone with a last minute victory over Denton Ryan. This week, they have the top team in 4A to go up against. These three teams are the contenders for the district championship. The 4th playoff spot will be a fight and will probably be one and gone in the playoffs.
1-5A
#20 El Paso Coronado (7-0) (5-0) 265-64
#35 El Paso Montwood (5-1) (4-0) 183-101
#70 El Paso Franklin (5-1) (4-0) 216-120
#48 El Paso El Dorado (6-1) (4-1) 266-44
#175 El Paso Americas (4-2) (2-2) 129-95
#110 El Paso Hanks (3-4) (1-4) 212-209
#219 El Paso Bel Air (2-4) (0-4) 79-181
#225 El Paso Socorro (1-5) (0-4) 35-181
#244 El Paso Eastwood (0-7) (0-5) 82-325
Key Game: #20 El Paso Coronado vs. #35 El Paso Montwood
Notes: This weeks key game could be for the district title. Franklin and El Dorado may also contend. Those 4 teams should be the playoff reps and will give everyone a good game. Right now these 4 have at least a 2 game lead on everyone else in the district.
11-5A
#21 Tyler John Tyler (6-0) (1-0) 289-104
#9 DeSoto (5-1) (1-0) 266-154
#45 Tyler Lee (4-1) (1-0) 101-139
#79 Mesquite Horn (5-1) (0-1) 195-146
#92 North Mesquite (3-3) (0-1) 139-125
#145 Mesquite (0-6) (0-1) 130-229
Key Game: #9 DeSoto vs. #45 Tyler Lee
Notes: This weeks key game should be a great one. DeSoto gave #1 Cedar Hill a big time fight early in the season while Tyler Lee played one of the toughest pre-district schedules in the state. All eyes are on Tyler John Tyler. Some have them ranked as high as #1 in the state.
