Rick Owens named head coach and AD at Cuero

Rick Owens, who was the Offensive Line Coach for the Cuero Gobblers has been named as Head Coach and Athletic Director.  Owens, who spent the last five seasons in the program, replaces Mark Reeve who left Cuero to take a job at Texas Lutheran.  His two year contract comes just as running back Trent Jackson is ready to step up and be the go-to guy for the Gobblers.  Jackson delighted the squad as a surprise star his Freshman year and followed it up last season with an impressive Sophomore season.
