Coaching Changes — Waco Connally
-
Updated: March 17, 2010
Waco Connally has hired former Ganado Head Coach Mike Rabe to take over the Cadets. He will replace interim coach Steve Hoffmann after they went 4-6 last season.
Hoffman was the offensive coordinator before last season and was elevated to the head football coach when Kevin Johnson stepped down from his coaching duties before the season. He was the offensive coordinator for the three previous years at Connally.
Rabe has been at Ganado for four seasons and has an overall record of 22-25. He led the Indians to consecutive semifinal appearances. Rabe began his coaching career as an assistant at Huntsville. He then went on to Arlington and later was the offensive coordinator at Cleburne.
Waco Connally is a member of the very tough District 19-3A. Other schools are China Spring, Gatesville, Lorena, Waco Robinson and Waco La Vega.
