Coaching Changes — Honey Grove
-
Updated: April 3, 2010
Honey Grove has hired Sammy Burnett to replace James Fuller who retired after 3 seasons with no playoff trips while with the Warriors.
Fuller retired as head coach and boys athletics coordinator after going 14-16 during his 3 seasons.
Burnett takes over after spending the last three years at 3A Van as their offensive coordinator. He has also coached at Kemp , Brenham, Burnett, Jacksboro and Angleton.
The Warriors are in a bit of a slump with 7 being the most wins in a season over the last 7 years. It may help them though dropping down to 1A. They will be part of District 6-1A Division I with Blue Ridge, Celeste, Clarksville, Quinlan Boles and
Wolfe City.
