Coaching Changes — San Antonio Jefferson
-
Updated: April 19, 2010
San Antonio Jefferson has promoted Doyle Redding to be their next head coach. Redding will replace Brian Clancy who left the job to take an assistant athletic directors position for San Antonio ISD.
Clancys overall record at Jefferson was 20-42 in six seasons but they made the playoffs in each of the past two years.
Redding has coached at Jefferson for the past 14 years including the last three as offensive coordinator. This is his first head coaching job.
Jefferson is part of District 29-4A that consist of San Antonio Brackenridge, San Antonio Burbank, San Antonio Edison, San Antonio Kennedy, San Antonio Lanier, San Antonio Memorial and San Antonio Southside. The Mustangs 6-5 record in 2009 ended a 6 year losing streak.
