Coaching Changes — Cedar Creek
-
Updated: May 7, 2010
Cedar Creek has hired Mike Ferrell as their first ever head coach and athletic coordinator. Ferrell comes over from El Paso Socorro where he has been the head coach for the past three seasons.
Ferrell led the Bulldogs to an overall 10-20 record (7-17 in district play). Prior to Socorro, Ferrell was the head coach at Fort Bend Kempner from 2003-2006 and had an overall record of 25-21. His other coaching jobs have been offensive coordinator positions at Fort Bend Hightower and Pecos.
Cedar Creek will open its doors this fall as a Class 4A school with freshmen and sophomores. They will begin playing a varsity schedule in 2012. It becomes the third high school within the Bastrop school district.
