Coaching Changes — Conroe Caney Creek
-
Updated: May 3, 2010
Conroe Caney Creek has hired its third head coach in three seasons. The Woodlands College Park's offensive coordinator Brent Verzwyvelt will be taking over for the Panthers.
Verzwyvelt replaces Dan Burk who went 1-9 in his only season at Caney Creek and has decided to retire. Burks all-time coaching records ends at 58-53-0. Verzwyvelt has been the offensive coordinator at College Park since its beginning in 2007. He was also the offensive coordinator at Aldine Eisenhower.
The 2009 team went 0-10 but was awarded a victory when it was ruled Magnolia West used an ineligible player in its victory over Creek. They will be a member of District 18-4A along with Humble, Humble Kingwood Park, Humble Summer Creek, Huntsville, New Caney, New Caney Porter and Willis.
