Coaching Changes — McAllen Rowe
-
Updated: May 8, 2010
McAllen Rowe has hired Paul Reyes as their next head coach. He will replace Gary Lauer who has been with the Warriors for ten years.
Lauer was let go after his teams missed the playoffs for the second year in a row. He had an overall record of 48-58 during his time there. Reyes comes in after being on the McAllen High staff since 1992. He has worked as their offensive coordinator for the last four years.
The Rowe job is a tough one. They have only one playoff appearance in the last five years and they have not had a winning season since 2004. The Warriors will be a member of District 30-5A along with Donna, La Joya, La Joya Palmview, McAllen, McAllen Memorial, Mission and Mission Sharyland.
