Coaching Changes — Quinlan Boles

Quinlan Boles has hired Gordon Jordan as their next head coach and athletic director. Jordan will replace Todd Wallace who is leaving the Hornets to coach at nearby Quinlan Ford.

Wallace has coached 13 seasons at Boles, guiding the Hornets to a 74-64 record. His 2008 team went 13-1, reaching the Class A state semifinals for the first time in school history. Over the past three football seasons, Boles has a record of 32-3. He is leaving to join new head coach Athletic Dirctor Virgil Crow as an assistant coach at Ford, where he’ll serve as offensive coordinator. Jordan who is a longtime Boles assistant will be taking on his first head coaching job.

Quinlan Boles will be a member of District 6-1A Division I along with Blue Ridge, Celeste, Clarksville, Honey Grove and Wolfe City. They would have been a contender for the state title but 3 year starting Quarterback Kailob Wallace will be leaving along with his father (Todd Wallace) to Ford. Kailob finished 2009 with 790 yards passing, 854 yards rushing, 75 tackles and 3 Interceptions.
