Coaching Changes — Rio Vista

Rio Vista has hired Seth Hobbs to be their new athletic director and head coach. He will replace Craig Carpenter who had been the head coach for only one year with the Eagles.

Carpenter who went 1-9 during his one season at Rio Vista left to take an assistant coaching job at Midlothian. He was an assistant there before when he left to be the head coach with Rio vista.

Hobbs comes over from South Garland where he was the offensive coordinator for the past two years. Before that, he was the offensive coordinator for Farmersville.

The Eagles are a member of District 4-2A Division II along with Cisco, Crawford, Hamilton, Hico, Millsap and Tolar. They are currently on a six year losing streak which is the longest in school history. 2009's one win was the worst season in 25 years (1985). The most wins in a season over the last 9 years is only 6.
