Austin Lake Travis will be the host of this SQT. Here are the pools, players to watch and of course our predictions.
Pool A: Austin Lake Travis, Round Rock Stony Point, Cypress Ranch, Dripping Springs
Round Rock Stony Point is the only team in this SQT that has already qualified for the state tournament. Cypress Ranch is the only other team in this pool to play in an SQT this season going 2-1 last week at Cypress Creek. Dripping Springs who will be led by QB Jeff Tuck entered three SQT's last season finishing with a 3-6 overall record. Austin Lake Travis won the Round Rock Westwood SQT last year and will be the host. The Cavaliers will have a ton of talent like QB - Michael Brewer 258-368 4437 yards 41 TDs 23 TDs rushing Texas Tech Commitment, RB Michael Pojman, WR Conner Floyd 69-1313 12 TDs Rec., WR Jonathan Bird, WR Tanner Gillette 41-753 4 TDs Rec. and LB Austin Williams.

Pool B: Houston Bellaire, Georgetown, Round Rock Westwood, Kyle Lehman
Houston Bellaire went 1-2 at the Texans SQT and will feature RB Christian Dolphus, WR Chisolm Ibeh and LB Arnold Blackmon. Georgetown played well going 2-2 at the Arlington Bowie SQT before losing in the semifinals to Bowie. They will be led by WR Cal Spangler 51-693 7 TDs Rec. and DB Ryne Lewis. Round Rock Westwood will be playing in their second SQT this year and will showcase QB Grant Peterson. Kyle Lehman may not show at this one.
Mike Picks: Georgetown
Pool C: Copperas Cove, South San Antonio, Cedar Park, Cedar Park Vista Ridge
Copperas Cove won this SQT last year and will once again bring a very athletic team. Cedar Park and Cedar Park Vista Ridge both made the state championships last year and will be very competitive. South San Antonio went 1-2 in their only SQT last season.

Pool D: A&M Consolidated, San Antonio Warren, Buda Hays Consolidated, Austin Anderson
All of these teams will be playing in their first SQT this year. A&M Consolidated went 7-7 last year in SQT play and will showcase RB Chris Nutall this year. San Antonio Warren has not competed in an SQT in a long time will bring one of the best receivers in the SQT in WR Marcus Smith 39-675 3 TDs Rec. Buda Hays Consolidated and Austin Anderson both made the state championships last year. Anderson will be led by QB Sam Wehmeyer.
