Belton will be the host of this SQT. Here are the pools, players to watch and of course our predictions. Jay Darneal who has coached a 7-on-7 team 7 consecutive years to the state tournament, been a coach, officiated, written, broadcasted, and played football will pick with us!!

Pool A: Belton, Fort Worth Paschal, Killeen Shoemaker, Stephenville

Stephenville has already qualified for the state tournament as the runner up at the Arlington Bowie SQT. The host team, Belton will be the team to watch with superstar QB David Ash leading the way 141-249 2002 yrds 22 TDs Committed to Texas. They will also feature RB Donovan Williams, WR Adrian Henderson and DB Darrius White. Fort Worth Paschal has gone 0-3 in SQT play so far this year and Killeen Shoemaker is making their first showing in a long while.

Pool B: Austin Bowie, Killeen, Pflugerville Connally, Round Rock

None of these teams play many SQT's so it will be interesting to see how they do. Pflugerville Connally will feature ATH Kenny Defee. Killeen will be led by QB Michael Cummings 751 yards 17 TDs rushing 2463 yards 24 TDS passing.

Pool C: Copperas Cove, Georgetown, Grand Prairie, Austin Lake Travis

Austin Lake Travis has already qualified for the state tournament having won their SQT last week. They have a host of great players like QB - Michael Brewer JR 258-368 4437 yards 41 TDs 23 TDs rushing Texas Tech Commitment, RB Michael Pojman, WR Conner Floyd 69-1313 12 TDs Rec., WR Jonathan Bird, WR Tanner Gillette 41-753 4 TDs Rec. and LB Austin Williams. Even their JV team went 2-1 last week. Georgetown has gone 5-3 in SQT play this year losing in the semifinals twice at Arlington Bowie and Austin Lake Travis. They will feature WR Cal Spangler 51-693 7 TDs Rec. and DB Ryne Lewis. Copperas Cove has gone 2-1 in SQT play so far this year and are always a dangerous SQT team. Grand Prarie has gone 1-2 in sQT play this year including a 34-39 loss to Georgetown.

Pool D: Abilene Cooper, Bastrop, Waco Midway, Temple

Abilene Cooper lost in the semifinals at the Round Rock Westwood SQT earlier this year. They will feature RB Alford Cooper 818 rushing 277 receiving 12 total TDs and RB Davon Riddick 868 yards 15 TDS rushing 200 yards 2 TDs receiving. Bastrop will bring a talented team along with QB Josiah Monroe 571 yards 4 TDs rushing 2136 yards 22 TDs passing and WR Mustafa Akbar. Waco Midway and Temple will both be playing in their first SQT this season. Waco Midway will be led by RB Terreon Mostiller, RB/LB Marc Martinez, LB Cody Stidham and LB Jeremy Sumbler.
