SQT will be played on 06/12/10
Texas City will be the host of this SQT. Here are the pools, players to watch and of course our predictions.
Notes: This does not appear to be one of the tougher SQT's. There are four team already qualified for the state tournament and five teams that have not played in an SQT this year and a few that have not been in an SQT in several years.
Pool A: Houston Chavez, Goose Creek Memorial, Litle Cypress-Mauriceville, Texas City
Houston Chavez has already qualified for the state tournament. Goose Creek Memorial and Litle Cypress-Mauriceville will be playing in their first SQT's this year. Texas City will be the host. They have gone 5-6 in SQT play this year and made the semifinals at the Texans Saturday SQT.

Pool B: Beaumont Central, Clear Creek, Friendswood, Rosenberg Terry
Friendswood has already qualified for the state tournament. Beaumont Central will be playing in their first SQT this year. Clear Creek has some talented athletes in Wr Tevin Jones 39-509 5 TDs Rec., WR C.J. McElroy 277 rushing 495 receiving 8 Total TDs and ATH Tad Pierce 49 Tackles 3 INTs. but they have gone 0-6 in two SQT's this year. Rosenberg Terry missed out by one play last week at their SQT.

Pool C: Pearland Dawson, Port Arthur Memorial, La Porte, Houston Worthing
La Porte will be playing in their first SQT this year and will be relying on RB Anthony Webb 1362 yards 11 TDs rushing and DB Jeremy McNeal. Pearland Dawson went 1-2 at the Manvel SQT a few weeks back and will bring lots of talent like WR Marcus Vaughn 53-945 9 TDs Rec, WR Devin Killpatrick, WR Randall Weeks, ATH Max Brown and DB Steve Orisakwe. Houston Worthing has gone 3-3 in two SQT's this year.

Pool D: Manvel, Pearland, Port Neches-Groves, Willis
Both Manvel and Pearland have qualified for the state tournament. Port Neches-Groves will be making their first showing at an SQT. Willis has gone 2-1 in SQT play this year and will be led by WR Damien Bishop.
