Notes:
The Wildcats are moving up to Class 5A after making it to the semifinals for each of the last two seasons. They have made an amazing turnaround in their four seaons of varsity play. Their record during the first two years was 1-19 and then they turned things around to go 25-5 over the past two years. The Wildcats will be explosive on offense and hard hitting on defense. QB Walsh may be the best quarterback in Texas this season and he will have top targets in WR's Gardener and Crane. Two D1 rectuits head up the defense as DL Bean and DB Stewart make it tough on opposing offenses. They have stepped up into a very tough district and will battle for the district title but they will be battling with Coppell and Southlake Carroll. Guyer opens the season with two very tough opponents in Waxahachie and then Cedar Hill at Cowboys Stadium. Expect them to go 7-3 or 8-2 in the regular season and then a trip to at least the Regionals. They may even meet up with Cedar Hill again in that round.
