Notes:
The Pirates will be fighting for a playoff spot this year playing in what is probably the toughest district in the state. They do return 25 lettermen from a team that made it to the semifinals last season but they lost superstar running back Ted Burns. This years offense will be led by QB Manley who was awesome last year throwing for almost 2600 yards. The defense will be solid with Hashaway and Wetzel. Expect the Pirates to go 6-4 or 7-3 in the regular season and battle for that las playoff spot. It will be tough knocking off Carthage or Gilmer for the top spots in the district.
