Buda Hays Consolidated long time Head Coach Bob Shelton has decided to retire. He is the only head coach that Buda Hays Consolidated has had since it opened in 1968.

Shelton is tied for 6th place on the all-time coaching wins list with a record of 313-187-7. He is one of just ten (10) coaches in Texas high school football history to reach 300 career victories.
