2A Holliday Knocks Off Top 1A School

Pre-Season #6 Class 2A Division II Holliday held on for a 35-28 victory over pre-season #1 Class 1A Division II Windthorst Thursday night. It came down to the last play in the Times Record News Kickoff Classic.
Holliday held a 27-14 lead going into the 4th quarter, but Windthorst was not done. Traling 35-28, Windthorst had the ball at the Holliday 2 yard line and time enough for 2 playes. The first play was a one yard loss and on the final play, running back Braydon Ingram who had rushed for 133 yards was stopped just shy of the goal line.
Holliday's head caoch Terry Wolf coached his 125 game for the Eagles during the victory. Holliday won last years contest 35-7.
