Nederland Gets Rare Victory Over West Orange-Stark

The Nederland Bulldogs rallied from a 20-7 deficit in the fourth quarter to get only their 7th victory over West Orange-Stark in 33 tries.

The Mustangs from West Orange-Stark had a 20-7 lead going into the 4th quarter but could not hold the Bulldogs back. Nederland scored a touchdown with 24 seconds left to make the game 20-19 in the Mustangs favor. Nederland's head coach Larry Neumann wanted the win and decided to go for two. The gamble paid off (the play was close though and some thought the ball carrier did not cross the line) and the Bulldogs got the win.

West Orange-Stark still leads the all-time series 26-7. This was also the first game the Mustangs did not have legendary coach Dan Hooks on the sideline.
