Mike Says: Mesquite Poteet comes in with a very talented team. Their offense is almost 50/50 pass/run with 1179 yards passing and 1250 rushing. QB Tanner Ramsey has 1087 yards passing with 10 TDs and only 1 INT. RB Steven Hicks leads the Pirates ground attack with 570 yards 9.34 avg and 8 TDs. The Tigers are o.k. with giving up lots of yards and points because they gain more and score lots more than their opponents. The Tigers won big last year but it will not be as big this year but they will win. The TIGERS win 32-21!!!

Chris Says: Someone tell me again why this is a game of the week?  Just kidding... of course, its a game of the week.  You can throw out last year's matchups.  Right now both teams are sitting at 5-0 and 3-0 in district.  In the end, the edge goes to Corsicana not because they beat the Pirates last year... but because of the six teams the two have collectively beaten in district, Corsicana handed Lancaster their only loss.  Sure, they gave up a lot of points (38) but they ran up 55 on them.  The TIGERS win 34-20!!!
