Mike Says: This is a matchup of the districts 2 best defenses. The Scots also bring in a high flying offense led by quarterback Brady Burgin (2,131 yards passing 18 TDs) and wide receiver William Morris (46-623 10 TDs). Their defense is headed up by LB Mason Shaw (49 tackles), LB Bryce Green (48 tackles), LB Alex Andrade (47 tackles), DL Thomas Perry (4 sacks 35 tackles) and DB Luke Utley (4 INTs 42 tackles). The Hawks offense is led by quarterback Cody Court who is their leading passer and rusher 1008 passing and 480 rushing yards. His favorite passing target is wide receiver Amaris Fields (31-617 8 TDs). Their defense features LB Raaquan Davis (58 tackles), LB Gentry Rogers (54 tackles), DL Jay Arnold (9.5 sacks 29 tackles), DL Jordan Points (8 sacks 40 tackles) and DB Mario Henderson (5 INTs 41 tackles). The pass happy Scots offense is just what the Hawk defense is good at defending. The Hawks have had 6 of their games decided by 12 or less. The Scots only 1. This is a good matchup for the Hawks....but it is still not enough. The SCOTS win 31-28!!!
Chris Says: This game is actually a game of contrasts. While the Dallas Highland Park Scots have a very good defense, clearly that category is won by Rockwall-Heath. The Scots have a better offense, but against what defenses? Against similar opponents, the two teams have been surprisingly similar. Will this be the let-up after Coach Allen's 300th victory? Will the Scots take a week off? Not likely, but they could falter just long enough for Rockwall-Heath to surprise folks. The SCOTS will take the win 21-20!!!
