Southlake Carroll Holds On For District Win

Southlake Carroll 24, Keller Central 21
The Carroll Dragons looked to have this one in the bag when they went up 24-14 with 2:26 left in the game. Central game storming back though and scored with 1:12 remaing to bring the score 24-21. with only seconds left, the Dragons were forced to put but Central was called for running into the kicker and that ended the game. Carroll is now 8-0 in the season and 5-0 in district play. Central is having their best season in school history with an overall 6-2 record and 3-2 in district. Two top receivers went at it in this game. Southlake Carroll Wide Receiver Peyton Williams caught 3 passes for 44 yards. Keller Central Wide Receiver Zack Sanchez caught 6 passes for 92 yards. For the season, Williams has 56 receptions for 634 yards and 6 touchdowns while Sanchez has 34 receptions for 861 yards and 12 touchdowns. Sanchez is averaging an amazing 25.32 yards per catch.
