Hiva Lutui, OL, 6-3, 285, Euless Trinity
A Star-Telegram Super Team pick and a Class 5A first team all-state selection, Lutui was the top lineman on a Trinity offensive line that wore opponents down all season long.
Johnathan Gray, RB, 5-10, 202, Aledo
Gray led Aledo to a third-straight state championship and set the national all-time touchdown record in the process, carrying the ball 346 times for 3,891 yards and 65 touchdowns. He added 28 receptions for 567 yards and five scores. Videos
Trey Williams, RB, 5-10, 175, Spring Dekaney
Williams carried Dekaney to a state title by rushing 427 times for 3,884 yards and and 48 touchdowns. He was the Houston Chronicle Offensive Player of the Year. Videos
DeMarkus Lathan, LB, 5-9, 180, Longview
The Class 5A Defensive MVP, Lathan was a sideline-to-sideline linebacker. He made 188 tackles, three sacks
Second Team
Bralon Addison, QB, 5-9, 185, Fort Bend Hightower
Addison was the Houston Chronicle Player of the Year, throwing for more than 2,100 yards and rushing for more than 1,700 while accounting for 42 touchdowns.
Zach Streuling, DB, 6-0, 175, Austin Lake Travis
The District 25-4A Defensive Player of the Year, Streuling totaled an eye-popping 198 tackles and six interceptions.
