2012 Coaching Change: Brownsville Hanna Golden Eagles
Old Head Coach: Tom Campos -- Reassigned after leading the Golden Eagles to a 4-16 record over the last 2 seasons. This was coach Campos first head coaching position.
New Head Coach: Rene Medrano -- From District rival Brownsville Pace where was the head coach for the past 14 years. He led the Vikings to an overall 70-77 record and is the all-time winningest coach in Pace history. The Pace job was his first head coaching position. He led them to 7 playoff appearances.
Team News: The Golden Eagles have had only one winning season (9-2 in 2009) in the last 10 years. This will be their 5th head coach over the last 9 years.
