Mike Says:
The big story here is how many 4A power house schools will be dropping down to 3A.  Wow...Stephenville, Kilgore, El Campo, Houston Yates and La Marque all will be in the middle classification.  Tatum is a notable school to be moving up to 3A.  They enjoyed their 2 years in 2A going 24-4.  The 2 years before that when they were in 3A, they went 11-11.  District 2 looks pretty tough with Big Spring, Midland Greenwood, Monahans and Seminole. District 6 will also be a killer in Region I.  Not only does it have 2 4A dropping down in Springtown and Stephenville.  They also have Abilene Wylie, Brownwood, Glen Rose and Mineral Wells.   In Region II, District 9 will be tough with Aubrey, Celina and Sanger.  District 16 may once again be one of the toughest in the state with Henderson, Kilgore, Gilmer and Tatum.  In Region III, Carthage moved over from Region II to District 19 to be with Jasper and Diboll.  District 22 will be interesting with 7 Houston ISD schools dropping down. District 23 and 24 are some of the best in the state.  Region IV will feature the defending Division I champions Wimberley in District 26.  District 29 will be fun with Columbia, Cuero and El Campo.

Chris Says:
3A could be VERY interesting for the next two years!  Some great teams could drop in from 4A - Stephenville, La Marque & El Campo are just a few of the teams that may shake things up.  An entire Houston district is likely to make the drop down which puts Yates, Wheatley, Kashmere, Furr etc. mixing it up with the standbys in 3A.  Most of the teams jumping up from 2A will be in Region II which doesn't have a lot of 4A drop-downs, but will still have to take on the likes of Celina and Gilmer.   I can't wait to see all the story lines that will emerge from this realignment
