2012 LSG Team Preview — Fort Hancock Mustangs

2012 LSG Texas High School Football Team Preview — Fort Hancock Mustangs

Team: Fort Hancock Mustangs (Independent)

Stadium: Mustang Stadium (Capacity: 800)

Coach: Danny Medina

Coaches Comments: The Mustangs look out to be a good solid team. Where they can't challenge for a playoff spot but play for the love of the game. David Fernandez and Armando Arzate will be looking to go out there and catch the ball from Rogelio Hernandez the junior QB.  Eric Salazar will also return as the Mustangs main blocker. But will struggle finding a back to replace Adrian Zamora. In the defense Oscar Davalos will be up front the Mustangs 3-3 defense as NG and next to him Richard Sanchez as DT. Linebackers will be Eric Salazar and Rogelio Hernandez and at Ends Angel Bosquez and David Fernandez.

Returning Starters: Offense: 6 Defense: 7

Notes:

  • Mike Says: The Mustangs will play for the love of the game like coach said. Playing an independent schedule will be tough.
  • Chris Says: Fort Hancock fields a strong team that should be able to walk away with a good season.  A winning record with some very high scoring games is what they delivered last year and this will be more of the same.  Look for for the solid group of veterans to deliver more of the same.
