  • Mike Says: The Lions are liking it in Class 3A even though they have been in what is probably the states toughest district. This years district battles against Tyler Chapel Hill, Kilgore and Gilmer will all be classics. Patrick Brown heads up the offense while Bo Brady leads an impressive defense. Look for them to go 8-2 or 9-1. They will most likely go Division II and a Regional matchup vs. Celina (who they beat 42-19 last year) would be a good one.
  • Chris Says: Henderson is just a couple seasons removed from their state championship over Tyler Chapel Hill and now they will face them in district 16-3A.  The Lions bring back some talent at the skill positions as well as experience on the defense.   Gilmer will probably be their biggest threat for the district title, but if the Lions develop as a team before district play, there is no reason to believe 16-3A isn't theirs to take.
