Coaches Comments: Our team will have a lot of experience compared to last year. We had a lot of younger kids that got the chance to play last year and I think it will pay off for us this year. Our young men work very hard and play hard and fight to the end, we are expecting good things this year. District Outlook: San Agustine is moving down from 2a where they made the playoffs and they have a lot of there team returing. Alto has good size great speed and are well coached. West Sabine is fast and strong and Cushing is well coached and their young men will fight. The district race will be a good one. There are no slouch teams in our district.

  • Mike Says: The Dragons have an outside chance at the third playoff spot. With 16 starters coming back they will have plenty of experience. Expect them to go 3-7 or 4-6 though for the season and come in 4th or 5th in the district.
  • Chris Says: Shelbyville brings back some serious experience but that alone won't guarantee a playoff spot.  If things go their way, they could get 5 wins and slip into the final playoff position.
