Coaches Comments: We feel confident that we will compete well during the 2012 season. We are much stronger physically and have great leadership and chemistry with this years team. We are in a very difficult league but expect to return to championship form after an off-year last year. Our district is wide open but one would expect Cy Falls, Langham Creek and Cy Woods to be considered very highly.

Notes:

- Mike Says: The Cougars started off the season 2-0 last year but then went 1-7 the rest of the way. This years team has a lot of returning starters especially on offense and they may help get a few more wins. The offensive line will be the strong point for this team. Look for them to go 3-7 or 4-6 during the regular season and miss out on the playoffs.
- Chris Says: Cypress Creek is one of those teams that is either "all in" our "out" of it. Last season they were out. This year, coach Greg McCaig thinks they are going to be in the running. The Cougars bring back a lot of starters on offense and a fair amount on defense. Expect them to be in the mix in District 17-5A, but it is a very tough group so don't look for them to win it. That said, if they get some breaks in district play, they could win more than they lose. It is unlikely that even that will mean playoffs for them, however.
