Notes:
* Had their best season in school history (42 years) last season
- Mike Says: The Raiders season ended with great comeback games. They came from behind to beat The Woodlands in the Quarterfinals but Southlake Carroll had a miracle comeback against them in the Semifinals. The Raiders won by an average of 34 points per game last year and the defense posted 5 shutouts. This year QB Devante Kincade and WR RaShaad Samples will lead a high-powered offense while the defense will once again be one of the states best led by DL Kerrick Huggins and DB Will Barrow. Look for them to go 9-1 or 10-0 in the regular season with great non-district games vs. The Woodlands and Arlington Martin. They are one of the state favorites in Division I. Their regional competition will come from really good teams like Allen and The Woodlands.
- Chris Says: Dallas Skyline is going into this season with a lot more respect than last year. This time last season, nobody was talking about them in terms of being seconds away from a state championship game. Week after week the Raiders surprised and/or confirmed the growing belief that they were legitimate. This year nobody is overlooking them. You see them ranked as one of the top teams in the nation. You see talk of a this being their year to win it all. We will know a lot about the Raiders after the first game - an exciting rematch against The Woodlands, one of their many dramatic games last year. Will Dallas Skyline go all the way this year? I don't see it, but I do see them reaching the Quarterfinals or Semis again this year.
