- Mike Says: The Rams are set for another wild season. They have an explosive offense led by QB Garcia and receivers Solis and Redix. The defense will need to step up after giving up 30+ points in 6 of their 12 games last year. Look for them to go 8-2 or 9-1 in the regular season and win the district championship. Once in the playoffs, they will be good for 2 or 3 rounds.
- Chris Says: El Paso Montwood reminds me of the old San Diego Chargers of the late 70's/early 80's. Led by quarterback, Dan Fouts, and the Air Coryell passing game, the put up a boatload of points. El Paso Montwood brings back a 3,000 yard passer in Angel Garcia and coach Chuck Veliz' aerial attack can put up some serious points. Just like those Chargers, these Rams have had their troubles on defense. Any time you have such a strong offense, you should win more than you lose. If the defensive players can give the offense opportunities to score, it will be a great season for the Rams. I could see them going three or four rounds deep in postseason. Their pre-district games against Odessa Permian and Smithson Valley will be fun to watch.
