* FB/LB Tylo Kirkpatrick - FB and LB- only 2-way starter returning 68 tackles
* RB Jesse Flores
* RB/DB Cooper Downer
Notes:
* Will be moving from Division II where they won the 2010 state championship up to Division I
- Mike Says: The Wildcats go from being one of the big fish in the pond to one of the small fish moving from DII to DI. Denver City will provide them with a challenge for the district title but they should still win it even with only 4 starters coming back from last year. Seth Reagan will be a key contributor on both sides of the ball. The playoffs will be tough with Littlefield, Eastland, Wall and Muleshoe in the region. Expect them to go 7-3 or 8-2 in the regular season and a trip to the Regionals.
- Chris Says: Idalou has a lot going against them this season. They are the smallest school in the district. They made the move up from Division II to Division I ball. Two of their district opponents dropped down from Class 3A. The Wildcats only bring back 2 starters on each side of the ball - just three kids. You would think that I would suggest a "rebuilding" year for Idalou, but I just can't. They may not take district, but this program has a strong tradition and they WILL make the playoffs for the 14th consecutive time. Once in the postseason, anything can happen and a team like the Wildcats can surprise a few people.
