West Texas:
Stamford’s Hagen Hutchinson passed for 238 yards, rushed for 201, accounting for five touchdowns in 47-20 win over Seymour. Midland Lee crushed Odessa 63-6 with RB Jason McAfee rushing for 234 yards and 7 touchdowns. Abilene edged crosstown rival Cooper 31-27 to remain unbeaten. QB Evin Abbe passed for 240 yards and two scores while favorite receive Keevan Lucas hauled in 16 of those passes for 144 yards and one score.

Central Texas:
San Antonio Madison doubled up Roosevelt 42-21. Averaging 298 yards rushing, the Mavericks turned to the air with Cody Ennis throwing for 288 yards and 4 touchdowns. Marquis Warford scored three touchdowns, had a kickoff return called back and blocked a field goal. In another all around performance, Jay’s Josh Reynolds caught two touchdown passes, four point-afters, deflected a td pass, and blocked a field goal as Jay beat Stevens 28-17. Alamo Hts rallied from 9 down to beat Seguin 39-32, stopping the Matadors on the six yard line as time expired. Mule’s soph QB Walker France passed for 419 yards, including 201 to Ty Miles. Notre Dame commit Corey Robinson caught 5 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns as San Antonio Christian defeated Victoria St. Joseph 42-3. . Antonion’s Sterling Holmes rushed for 176 yards and two scores in a 48-12 win over Poteet. Refugio crushed Freer 77-7 with Travis Quintanilla passing for 224 yards and four touchdowns.

Cedar Park turned up their ground game, rushing for 404 yards and rolled over Marble Falls 49-21. Lake Travis held off Bowie 24-14 with Shaun Nixon scoring three touchdowns. Hendrickson edged Stony Point 15-13 as junior QB Xavier Conley hit Latrell Martin with a 72 yard scoring strike in the fourth quarter. Westlake crushed Akins 68-7. Leander got back on the winning track, beating Rouse 21-13 as Daryl Jacobs intercepted two fourth quarter passes.

Houston:
#1 Katy crushed Mayde Creek 70-7 with QB Kiley Huddleston throwing for 22 yard s and 3 tds. Cy Ranch beat Cy Ridge 35-28 with Oklahoma commit Keith Ford rushing for 250 yards and four tds. South Houston bested Pasadena 47-27 in a game where both QB’s put up big numbers. SoHo’s James Davis threw for 297, rushed for 79 and accounted for six touchdowns, while Pasadena’s Nick Bernal threw for 405, rushed for 57 and accounted for four touchdowns. Huffman Hargrave pounded Liberty 62-13 as Preston Townley threw for 413 yards and 8 touchdowns. Langham Creek edged Cy Falls 37-35 with Creek’s Dominique Harris hauling in 9 passes for 232 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ronald Monroe of Bush threw for 354 yards, rushed for 59 and accounted for five scores in a 56-35 win over Travis. Junior Aaron Sharp threw for 409 yards and three touchdowns to lead Summer Creek past C.E. King 34-9. Manvel beat district rival Alvin 52-21 with Shane McCarley throwing for 472 yards and seven touchdowns. Tyron Washington threw for 324 yards and four scores as Reagan beat Milby 48-7. Klein’s Othello Gibson rushed for 273 yards and 7 tds in a 57-43 win over Klein Oak. Running took front burner status as Dekaney beat Kingwood 41-35. Dekaney’s Demarcus Felton rushed for 289 yards and five touchdowns, while Kingwood’s Kade Harrington rushed for 260 yards and two scores.

DFW:
Lakeview Centennial upset Sachse 49-41 despite a 372 yard four touchdown performance by junior Kent Myers. Colleyville Heritage beat Grapevine 69-27 with Oklahoma commit Cody Thomas completing 23-31 for 463 yards and 7 touchdowns. Keaun Kinner rushed for 343 yards and five touchdowns as Little Elm beat Frisco Liberty 49-14. Kinner leads DFW in rushing with 1307 yards at the halfway point. Richardson Pearce beat W.T. White 47-28 with junior J.R. Griffin rushing for 223 yards and three scores on just 12 carries. Denton Guyer whitewashed Denton High 62-0 as Jerrod Heard passed for 152 yards and three touchdowns. Mesquite Horn’s Treyvon Marsh rushed for 243 yards and four touchdowns as Horn beat Rockwall 45-21. Cleburne beat Joshua 58-21 with QB Quade Coward passing for 344 yards and six touchdowns. Crowley QB Matt Marner totaled 387 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-28 win over Everman.

East Texas:
Gilmer’s Kris Boyd rushed for 293 yards and five touchdowns as the Buckeyes beat Chapel Hill 50-28. Carthage’s Blake Bogenschutz threw for 293 yards and six touchdowns in a 54-14 win over Rusk. Frankston’s Ozzie Buckner had 250 total yards and accounted for four touchdowns in a 48-8 win over Union. Will Weathers completed 14/18 passes for 238 and five touchdowns and Brookhill beat Dallas Shelton 54-22. Tyler Grace’s Kade Clayton rushed for 322 yards and five touchdowns in a 48-7 win over Trinity Christian of Cedar Hill.
