  • Mike Says: This will be Hallettsville's first time in an LSG Game Of The Week while Hempstead has gone 0-2. Hallettsville will win the district championship outright with the win. A Hallettsville loss and a Rice Consolidated win over Edna puts those 3 into a tie with 3-2 district records with only 2 spots going into the playoffs. Hempstead is the defending state champion and will feature Sophomore QB Will Smith. With all that, Hallettsville will continue their best season since 2004. The BRAHMAS win it 24-21!!
  • Chris Says: Hallettsville is one of those stories that I love.  They've been excellent in the past, but have slipped in the past few years.  They started off the season with a game against a very tough Ganado Indians team and I have to think that winning that one set the stage for this "so-far" perfect season.  Something like a big win early can get the team to believe in themselves and it appears they do.  The Cinderella season will continue for Hallettsville at least one more season.  The BRAHMAS take the win 41-35!!!
