Navasota Wins Championship and Postseason Fan Champs Award
Over 350 schools earned points in our Postseason Fan Champs Awards and the Navasota Rattlers defeated them all. Yes, the Class 3A Division II State Champions knocked out not only other Class 3A teams in this contest, but EVERY team in the state!
The contest was tight every single week with teams like Alief Elsik and Pflugerville making strong runs early on. In the end, it came down to a battle of Navasota versus Katy. Fans of these two teams pulled ahead in the final two weeks to provide a nail biting finish.
Navasota's victory came by doing nearly everything possible to score points. Rattler fans commented on the website, sent tweets supporting their team, retweeted @LSGridiron tweets, posted comments and "liked" articles on our Facebook page, called in support of their team on our call-in line and everything else you could imagine. The Rattlers ROCKED the Fan Champs Award!
Look for the Fan Champs Award next season to get bigger and better and look for fans of great high school football teams all over Texas to fight it out each and every week.
