2013 Coaching Change: Pittsburg Pirates
Old Head Coach: Robert Manley -- Resigned after leading the Pirates to a 40-28 record in 6 seasons. His 2009 team made it to the state semifinals. He ranks #3 in all-time coaching wins at Pittsburg. He has also been the head coach at Clarksville 2003-2006 (22-20) and Honey Grove 1995-2002 (50-32-1). His all-time coaching record is 112-80-1 which ranks him in the Top 350 in all-time coaching wins.
New Head Coach: Dickey Meeks -- From 3A Henderson where he led the Lions for the past 7 years to a 44-39-0 record. His 2010 Lion team won the Class 3A Division I State Championship. He also won a state championship when he was the head coach at Tyler Chapel Hill in 1989. He has also been the head coach at Longview Pine Tree 1996-1999 (15-26) and Mount Vernon 2000-2005 (42-26).
Team News: The Pirates have not made the playoffs for 3 consecutive seasons going 13-17 during that time.
