2013 Coaching Change: Medina Valley Panthers
Old Head Coach: Brian Emerson -- Leaving for 3A Lampasas. He led the Panthers for the past 11 years to a 65-53 record. His only other head coaching position was at 2A Blanco from 1990-2001 where he led the Panthers to a 87-49 record over 12 seasons. His all-time coaching record is 152-102 which puts him in the TOP 225 in all-time for coaching wins. His 2001 Blanco team won the Class 2A Division I state championship.
New Head Coach: Steve Hale -- From 4A Hutto where he led the Hippos to a 23-9 record in 3 seasons. His only other head coaching position was at Fort Worth Arlington Heights where he led the Yellow Jackets to a 16-7 record. He has also been an assistant at La Marque, Hillsboro and Sulphur Springs.
Team News: The Panthers went 8-3 last year after going 8-13 the previous 2 seasons.
