2013 Coaching Change: Columbus Cardinals
Old Head Coach: David Sine -- Leaving for 3A Bandera. He led the Cardinals for 1 season going 3-7. His other head coaching jobs have been at 2A Sonora (28-7 over 3 seasons) and 1A Flatonia (57-39 over 9 seasons). He has an all-time coaching record of 88-53-0 which ranks him in the Top 450 in all-time coaching wins.
New Head Coach: Tony Vallestro -- From 4A Galveston Ball. He led the Tors for 2 years going 2-18. He has also been a head coach at 2A East Chambers for 6 years going 47-18-0 and 3A La Grange from 1994-2004 going 90-42-1. He won a state championship with the La Grange Leopards in 2000. He also won state championships as an offensive coordinator at Waxahachie and Groveton. He has an all-time coaching record of 139-78-1 which ranks him in the Top 275 in all-time coaching wins.
