Plano East Hires Randy Jackson As Replacement For Johnny Ringo

2013 Coaching Change: Plano East Panthers

Old Head Coach: Johnny Ringo -- Will be Dallas Highland Park Athletic Director. He led the Panthers for the past 9 seasons to a 51-46 record. He has also been a head coach at Uvalde (1993-1994 going 16-4-1), Irving MacArthur (1995-1996 going 10-10-1) and Coppell (1997-1999 going 21-12). He was also an assistant coach at Southern Methodist University. He has an all-time coaching record of 98-72-2 which ranks him in the Top 425 in all-time coaching wins.

New Head Coach: Randy Jackson – From 4A Mesquite Poteet where he led the Pirates to a 30-9 record over the past 3 seasons. He has also been a head coach at 2A Lone Oak from 2004-2009 going 50-20, DeKalb in 2002 going 9-4 and Mason in 2001 going 5-7. He also served as an assistant coach at West Mesquite and Greenville. He has an all-time coaching record of 94-40-0 which ranks him in the Top 425 in all-time coaching wins.

Team News: The Panthers have had only 2 losing seasons in the last 19 years (2004 5-6 & 2008).
