Coach: Dan Hernandez (1 year) 1-9; 1-9 all-time coaching record
Coaches Comments: Entering our second year, the team will be stronger and will have the ability to overcome endurance issues suffered last year. Overall quality of depth and toughness on the rise. It will be important to start the season on a good note; being competitive early will increase the confidence base. Another year in our off-season and overall philosophy will help as well. The district will, again, be littered with athletic talent. Georgetown and Pflugerville Connally are talented squads followed by Manor which will challenge as well.

Notes:
* Began varsity play last season
- Mike Says: The Eagles had a rough go at it last year during their first year of varsity play. No one took it easy on them and I am sure Coach Hernandez will remind his team of that every game. Look for the Eagles to get better this year but it may not show up in the win/loss column.
- Chris Says: Bastrop Cedar Creek will have another rough go of it in District 17-4A but will be improved. Coach Dan Hernandez says they will be in better physical condition and that alone should translate to more wins. I only expect a 2 win season, but their defeats won't be nearly as lopsided if the team buys into what Coach Hernandez is trying to build.
