Coaches Comments: Our district should be as tough as it was last year. Pearland Dawson will still be very strong and Friendswood is always very tough. We will be competing for a district championship and we hope we have the experience to achieve that goal. This could be a breakout year for the Stings. The senior class is loaded with talent and even though the junior class doesn't have a lot of numbers, there are some very talented individuals and the sophomore class is coming off a 7-2-1 record as freshmen. District Outlook: Pearland Dawson, Friendswood, Goose Creek Memorial and Texas City should be the four playoff reps, but Galena Park and Galveston Ball have new head coaches and could be in the mix.

  • Mike Says: The Stingarees returned to the playoffs last year for the first time since 2007. This years team is loaded with talent led by the Foreman brothers. Look for them to go 8-2 or 9-1 in the regular season and maybe knock off Pearland Dawson for the district title. Once in the playoffs they should go at least 3 rounds.
  • Chris Says: Texas City is BACK!  They've been a middle-of-the-road team for quite a few years, but seem poised to kick things up a notch.  They bring back a truckload of experience (35 lettermen) including most of their skill positions.  Look for them to battle Pearland Dawson for the 24-4A title and do better in the playoffs this season as well.
