- Mike Says: The Mustangs bring back 14 starters from last year team. They have not been to the playoffs in 4 years but they may just be good enough to get that 4th playoff spot this year. It will be tough with Highland Park, West Mesquite and Mesquite Poteet in the district. QB David Blough is set to have a big season. Look for them to go 6-4 or 5-5 in the regular season and compete with Forney for the last playoff spot.
- Chris Says: Coach Cline thinks this is the year for Carrollton Creekview as he predicts a District 10-4A title. A lot of people around the state don't think that's very likely after going 3-4 in district last season and getting their 5 wins last season against sub .500 teams. They do bring back a lot of experience led by all-district QB, David Blough. Is he enough to take a .500 team to the promised land of a district title? Not alone, but he has a great supporting staff as well. Do I think the Mustangs will take the title? Nope. In a lot of districts, they would roll some folks, but 10-4A is no cake walk. I expect 7 to 8 wins and a playoff spot.
