Notes:
* Have gone 19-5 over the past 2 season under new coach Bomar...they went 16-24 from 2007-2010

  • Mike Says:The Bulldogs are on a roll under their new coach. They have now had their best back to back seasons in school history. Look for this years team to struggle a little bit. They will need to find someone to get the ball to WR Matthew Priddy. Look for them to get 6 or 7 wins and come in 3rd in the district behind Sinton and Ingleside.
  • Chris Says: Orange Grove continued their surprising run last season but graduated a lot of talent.  For the smallest school in the district to be in contention for the district title is one thing, but these Bulldogs have done it twice in a row under Jerry Bomar.  Will his brand of coaching be enough to overcome only 5 starters returning on each side of the ball?  Not by itself.  He is going to need kids like RB - Martinez, LB - Herrea and WR - Priddy to step up and help develop the new athletes.  I expect some drop-off but see no reason why they won't notch 8 or 9 wins and last 2 or 3 rounds come playoff time.
