Notes:
* Head Coach Greg Owens has turned things around going 58-18 over the past 6 seasons after starting his first year at 2-8
* LSG Pre-Season Ranking
- Mike Says: The Wildcats had another great season last year which was highlighted by lots of high scoring games. They bring 13 starters back from that team that included lots of JR's that played well last year as SOPH's. They should have a solid defense led by DB Larry Pryor. The offense has a few holes to fill but RB/WR Willy Ivery will be fun to watch. Look for them to go 8-2 or 7-3 in the regular season and most likely win the district title. After that they should be good for 1 or 2 rounds in the playoffs.
- Chris Says: Sulphur Springs looks locked and loaded for another 14-4A district crown. They did lose a good chunk of starters, but those they got back were some of the best players. Expect the season to start off rough once again, but the Wildcats will be fine once district play starts. The Whitehouse game in Week 2 will be a big test and should show Coach Greg Owens how much work he has before playoffs.
