  • Texas high school footballMike Says: Stratford won this game last year on their way to the Quarterfinals. This year though, we have Canadian picked to play in the 2A Division II Championship game. Last week, Stratford's defense recorded 6 sacks and 3 INTs. They will need that kind of performance again to stop Canadian's pass/catch duo of QB Ben Arbuckle and WR Boston Hudson. Stratford's Head Coach Eddie Metcalf needs 1 more win to be all-time winningest coach at Stratford (95-28-0) to pass Brad Thiessen 1994-2003 (95-26-0). Sorry coach but it will not happen this week. The WILDCATS win it 21-14!!
  • Texas high school footballChris Says:  Normally, when there are two top teams separated by just one classification level, it doesn't matter a lot.  Whether you are 2A or 1A doesn't matter much for the teams at the top of their game.  The big difference here is not the fact that Canadian is Class 2A and Stratford is Class 1A.  The big difference is frankly, Ben Arbuckle.  This quarterback is one of my favorite from the class of 2014.  He is a game-changer.  Arbuckle will lead Canadian to 2-0.  The WILDCATS grab the win 35-24!!!
  • Texas high school footballLSG Intern Zach Says: Hard to root against a guy making history, which Stratford coach Eddie Metcalf will do if his Elks steal the win. But unless he is locking down Boston Hudson himself, there is not much he can do about Canadian QB Ben Arbuckle going out and doing his thing. He was killer last week (19/23, 337 yards, 4 TD) and stays hot to lead the Wildcats to victory. Wildcats 38-21.
