Texas high school footballMike Says: At first glance, I thought this would be a pretty good game. Once we look into the numbers though it might be a mis-match. Both teams have played Boling with the Brahmas winning big and the Wildcats getting a 1 point victory. Add in that the Brahmas have destroyed other top 1A teams like Shiner and Ganado. The BRAHMAS win easily 48-6!!

Chris Says:
If you would have asked me when we started this company ten years ago how long it would be until we had Weimar in a Game of the Week, I would have said "at least 10 years."  Well, it was bound to happen and it did.  The Wildcats are sitting undefeated and trying to keep that alive.  I'm afraid they are running into a buzz saw in the Hallettsville Brahmas though.  Hallettsville has not only been playing much better teams, but they are destroying folks.  This will not be a game.  The BRAHMAS win 42-0

Texas high school footballLSG Intern Zach Says: Weimar is off to a good start under new head coach David Husmann, allowing only 11 points through two games. Unfortunately, this is a game that will bring them back to earth. As evidence, let’s compare how these two teams fared against Boling earlier this year. Weimar barely gutted out a 12-11 victory, while Hallettsville blanked the Bulldogs 41-0 on the road. This is a very good 2A team that has already posted strong wins over Ganado and Shiner. Brahmas 38-7.

Texas high school footballLSG Intern William Says:  Weimar only has 2 games under its belt with a 12-11 grinder against Boling and a 20-0 shutout vs. St Joseph. The defense for Weimar has been a force so far this year as they try to avenge the 27-2 loss they received last year from Hallettsville. Hallettsville, already 4-0, hasn’t had much trouble so far with only one team scoring more than 6 points against them, Yoakum 39-28, and with a terrific offense led by Dalton Herrington and Tim Sheppard. Brahmas win 35-14.
