Mike Says: Bulldog QB Bo Wimberly was the backup last year to Hagen Hutchinson. During their game against the Loboes, Hutchinson went down with an injury. Wimberly came in and rushed for 102 yards and threw for 110 more to lead the Bulldogs to a big victory. This year, Wimberly is the starting QB and leads the team in passing (619 yards) and rushing (404 yards). Wimberly is not the only Bulldog star though. Sophomore LB Zai Zai Smith leads the defense with 47 tackles Superstar WR James Washington has accounted for 598 total yards of offense and also has 3 INTs as a DB, With all that the Bulldogs should win. "Not so fast, my friend!" as Lee Corso on College Gameday says. Cisco is our #1 team in Class 2A DII. They gave Refugio a scare in the championship game 2 years ago and they are now back better than ever. It will be a great one to go see. The LOBOES win it 28-24!!
Chris Says: Both these teams are rolling opponents by nearly the same score. The difference is that Stamford is doing it against weaker teams. Okay, Munday isn't all that weak, but after losing to these Bulldogs 61-0, it makes you wonder. In the end though, Stamford graduated too much talent to compete with the tough Cisco team. They are a larger school (Class 2A) and they are our #1 team. LOBOES take the win 42-40!!
LSG Intern Zach Says: I really like both of these teams. Cisco tailback Mason Reed can play with absolutely anybody and Colton Kent just does it all. Still, I think Stamford is a better team than anyone would have thought. The biggest knock on the Bulldogs was losing QB Hagen Hutchinson, and even that hasn’t slowed them down yet. I like the defending champs to prove they are still a force to be reckoned with. Bulldogs 56-35.
LSG Intern William Says: Two very equally matched teams playing in this game, Stamford won last year 25-20 and this year should be just as exciting. Cisco has a very good backfield led by Mason Reed and Vernon Owings. Cisco has been very dominant this year with an average margin of victory of 34 points per game and haven’t had much competition till this Stamford team. Stamford has also been lights out so far with an average margin of victory of 35.25 points per game. These two teams will fight tooth-and-nail for this victory, but I think the Stamford defense led by LBs Ty Mclemore and James Washington will be quick enough to shut down the Cisco running game. Bulldogs win 30-23
