I have loved this district since I lived there a half dozen years ago. In that time, I have seen the title change hands many times, new teams begin play, and a ton of great players suit up. One thing that never changes is how competitive District 17-5A is. Cy-Fair controls their own destiny with games against Cy-Falls and Cy-Creek. If they drop one, Cy-Ridge is praying for a slip-up because the one district loss is to them. Cy-Woods and Langham Creek would need Fair to drop both games for a chance at the crown... that is very unlikely. In fact, I think the top three teams in the district right now will go 2-0 the rest of the season.

Prediction : Cy-Fair (8-1), Cy-Woods (7-2), Langham Creek (7-2), Cy-Ridge (6-3), Jersey Village (4-5), Cy-Ranch (4-5), Cy-Creek (3-6), Cy-Springs (3-6), Cy-Falls (2-7), Cy Lakes (1-8)
