The race for the district title was supposed to be a close one between Texas City and Pearland Dawson. But after the Stingarees pasted the Eagles at home, there has been little doubt that Foreman Twins & Co. own District 24. Even after the loss, Dawson was still considered the district’s second-best team. That is until the Eagles fell to Friendswood this past weekend, allowing the Mustangs to leapfrog into sole possession of second place. Texas City already owns the tie-breaker, though Friendswood needs just one win to get to the playoffs.
Zach’s Prediction: Texas City (7-0), Friendswood (6-1), Dawson (5-2), Galena Park (4-3), Ball (2-5), Santa Fe (2-5), Goose Creek Memorial (2-5), Lee (0-7)
