El Campo RicebirdsMike Says: This game would have been higher up on the charts if Bellville had not lost to Columbus last week. A loss this week to the Ricebirds would put the Brahmas in a difficult position at 0-2 in district play. Both of these teams are going to run the ball so this will not be a game for the weak. El Campo has had 2 weeks to prepare for this game with their game against Richmond Foster being Cancelled and a BYE week last week. The RICEBIRDS win 31-14!!

Bellville BrahmasChris Says: This is tough.  Bellville is 1-2 against teams with winning records and El Campo has only played opponents with a combined record of 1-12.   We have them so closely ranked that it is a toss up.  Once again, we are looking at two teams that will know a lot more after this game.  I am seriously confounded by this one... when it's close, give it to the home team.  BRAHMAS take it 25-21!!

El Campo RicebirdsLSG Intern Zach Says: #18 3A El Campo (3-0) @ #20 3A Bellville (3-2): Not sure what to make of these two teams. Both are ranked, but I don’t know if both of them are top-20 3A teams. I’m really bummed that El Campo’s tilt with Foster was cancelled because that would have given us an idea of where the defending champs are at. But I like their big win over Bay City last month, while Bellville’s losses to Houston Kinkaid and Columbus fail to impress. Ricebirds 28-27.

Bellville BrahmasLSG Intern William Says: Losses were by 5 points or less. Bellville has played teams with a combined 14-7 record so far this year. El Campos, on the other hand, has played teams with a combined record of 1-12. Bellville is ranked 20th and El Campo is 18th so it’s not much of an upset. Brahmas win 28-24.

Bellville BrahmasLSG Writer Scott Says: El Campo is coming off back-to-back bye weeks, having not played since a 42-19 victory over Bay City on Sept. 13. Bellville has lost two games by a total of six points, including a heartbreaking 39-38 defeat to a Houston Kinkaid outfit loaded with Division I talent. Bellville is coming off a five-point loss to Columbus and will want to protect its home field in this one. Bellville, 41-33.
