Texas high school footballMike Says: Who would have thought that Granbury would be undefeated this late in the season. They have been playing good football but not against the toughest of schedules. Aledo has been on a tear. They have outscored their opponents 68-8 so far this season and that includes games against Dallas Highland Park and Stephenville. The Bearcats are a team that could win it all. Granbury has had a great season so far but this one will not be close. The BEARCATS win it 49-7!!

Texas high school footballChris Says:  If Granbury had one loss on the season, this wouldn't have been a Game of the Week.  They will after this one.  It has been a great run for the Pirates, but it appears they will be brought to earth in a big way this way.  I hope I am wrong and that Granbury can put up a good fight - it would certainly help justify us only having Aledo at #6 (as we are reminded up continually by Bearcats fans.  🙂  Aledo IS as good as people are saying - BEARCATS take it 72-35!!

Texas high school footballLSG Intern Zach Says: NR Granbury (8-0) (5-0) @ #6 Aledo (8-0) (5-0): While Granbury has been a pleasant surprise, is there any indication whatsoever it can hang with Aledo? The Bearcats have been so dominant they got accused of bullying (which was a total farce, by the way). They have broken 80 three times already and are doing a lot of it with their starters on siesta. Expect another big week from the fully legitimate powerhouse. Bearcats 63-28.

Texas high school football LSG Intern William Says: Even with the controversy surrounding the 91-0 Aledo win against Fort Worth Western Hills, the Bearcats team didn’t let that distract them from a 59-13 win against Fort Worth Southwest. After that game Aledo now averages 68 points and 571.5 yards per game. Granbury who has compiled a solid 8-0 record averages about 42 points and average around 400 yards per game. Granbury may only have one loss and it will come to the hands of Aledo. Bearcats win. 63-24

Texas high school footballLSG Writer Scott Says:
Granbury could be considered a surprise at 8-0 this late in the campaign. Ryan Suitt’s steady hand at quarterback and Malik Allen’s running ability has been key to the success of the Pirates. As for Aledo, pundits and coaches around the state claim this could be the best team in school history. Quarterback Luke Bishop is accurate with 20 touchdowns compared to one interception, while Jess Anders has 19 rushing touchdowns. Aledo has too much talent, and wins it 44-7.
